Our billing team submits claims to participating insurance companies as a courtesy to you. You are expected to pay your copayments, deductibles, and coinsurances. We accept cash, personal checks, and all credit cards except for AMEX. If patients are not able to pay their copay at the time of their visit, they will receive a statement in the mail. Patients with an outstanding balance of 60 days or more are subject to be sent to collections. It is your responsibility to know what your insurance covers or not. It is also your responsibility to make sure that our office has up-to-date demographic and insurance information. Unlike hospitals, we are a private clinic that only accepts a limited number of insurances. Please call our office to make sure you are in the network before you choose a plan.
Our front desk staff are available to schedule/reschedule or cancel appointments Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm. However, our phones do shut down from 12 pm-1 pm for lunch. If you need help with refilling prescriptions or have any medical-related questions please do not call our front desk, instead, our phone system can direct you to the appropriate nurse or doctor. Our office is closed Saturday-Sunday. There is always a doctor on call over the weekend to help with any urgent needs. For life-threatening events, please do not call our office, instead dial 911 for emergency.
If you are scheduled for a blood test, please do not eat for 12 hours. You can drink water, plain black tea/green tea, or plain coffee in the meantime. Please take your regular medications except those for diabetes while you are fasting. It can take anywhere from 24-48 hours to receive your blood test results which you will be able to view on your patient portal.
Please allow up to 24 hours for any prescription refill requests to be addressed.
Because we are a busy practice, promptness is something we expect from all our patients to make sure we offer the best quality care. If you are running 10-20 mins late, there is a possibility that you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
Please be aware that our office charges for no-shows. We have a high volume of patients and every appointment is valuable to us. For all annual physicals or preops, we charge a $60 no-show fee. For any other appointment, we charge a fee of $30.
We do not accept walk-ins. All visits are made by appointment. If you call with urgent symptoms or cannot be evaluated in our office immediately, we reserve the right to direct you to the nearest emergency room or a walk-in clinic.
Certain forms (including FMLA, short-term disability, sick leave, return to work, school, or work physicals) require an office visit. Please be aware that you can be charged extra for forms that require extensive time for completion by our providers.
Due to HIPAA regulations, we cannot email or leave voicemails with any sensitive medical information. We rely on mailing, faxing, or portal use. Our patient portal is free, and you can use the desktop version or the app version.
